The Tallest Man On Earth Fansite

After “Time Of The Blue” in June, The Tallest Man On Earth just released a new unannounced single titled “Rivers“. Those who went to recent shows might have heard a live performance of the song, and now everyone can listen to it on Spotify, iTunes and other online retailers.

There’s still no news about a possible new album, but Kristian is touring Europe soon, so we might have some additional information then.

UPDATE 2016/09/06:
A video has been released to YouTube, with a live performance by Kristian:

Official lyrics:

Rivers

so there is longing in the shoulders now
there was a wildness in that time
can we now say
sweet were the hours but hours to find

there was no way to live in simple dreams
there was no straightness to our line
gravel in hand
to “darling we’re moving the mountains around”

this is the fire of leaving pains
when the love is gone but the need remains
into the shiver and cold of day
when the house is gone but the street remains
I guess it’s true
I guess these rivers never knew

And then finally the nighttime comes
there is no light to cast a blame
no need to hide
no fear who I’d meet in some grocery lane

this is the fire of leaving pains
when the love is gone but the need remains
into the shiver and cold of day
when the house is gone but the street remains
I guess it’s true
I guess these rivers never knew

I’ll sing of seasons until you turn me off
I see their way of letting go
they’ll be the same
whatever changes, these changes I know

this is the fire of leaving pains
when we’re not that strong and the need remains
into the shiver and lies of day
when the house is gone but the fields remain
I guess it’s true
I guess these rivers never knew.
